A custom domain cost around $11/year and this might be too much for some bloggers to afford. More importantly, custom domain works exactly like Free blogspot.com domain in terms of design, ranking, SEO and etc.

Therefore, if your custom domain is expired or you do not want to get it renewed, you can always switch back to your .blogspot.com domain.

Remove a Custom Domain From Blogger

1.To remove a custom domain from blogger, follow the below steps:
Go to Blogger >> Template >> Basics >> Publishing >> Blog Address

2.Now click on the (X) cross icon right next to your custom Domain.

3. Upon clicking the cross icon a warning message will pop up saying "Are you sure? This will remove your current custom Domain". Just Press OK and proceed to the next step


NOTE: 
Do not worry about the prompt message, it only says it is removing the custom domain from your blog, it is not deleting your blog by any means, you blog will be live at your old .blogspot.com domain.

4. Now Reload the same page and select "View Blog". You will now see your blog reverted back to blogspot.com domain.
